Launch Restaurant Guidebook Knokke – Zwin Region

If you love nature, art and shopping, then Knokke-Heist is the place to be. However, the city has yet another important asset: the art of dining. Deservedly, Knokke-Heist has been dubbed the gastro-pole of the Belgian coast. This was confirmed once more in November at the presentation of the renowned culinary guide, Gault & Millau, and Michelin Guide 2015. 

With the guidebook ‘Top restaurants in the Zwin region’, enthusiasts of exceptional gastronomy are presented with an overview of the top restaurants. This overview is quite something: with no less than 22 stars within a radius of 25 kilometers, the region probably has the most stars in the world.

The municipality of Knokke-Heist is the driving force behind the initiative. The guidebook markets the Zwin Region as a gourmet area. Or as council member of tourism Anthony Wittesaele puts it: "Gastronomy is one of our policy’s priorities and the appreciation in the Michelin and Gault & Millau guidebooks are a real boost.”
