Rungis, a surface of 573 acres where 1.5 million tonnes of produce is traded annually. 14,000 companies present their products in the so-called 5 worlds of the market: fish, meats, fruits, vegetables, dairy and even flowers. Freshness guaranteed: the products are traded from 2 to 7 in the morning. Rungis provides 18 million European consumers (1/5 of which are French) with fresh quality products.  Rungis is a real city with a staggering 21 restaurants, several hotels, 10 banks, a post office, travel agencies, a hairdresser, a social medical centre, car rentals, ...

PROGRAM

We leave for Paris on 12 October around 10.30 at night. You are served a nightcap and a snack on the bus. We are shown around Rungis by an old hand.
2.00-6.00: visit of the various halls.
6.30: breakfast at the market with local specialities.
7.30: departure to Moeskroen
11.30: lunch buffet at the Moeskroen border crossing!
13.30: back to boarding area.
